Since the beginning of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Singapore, Little Footprints Preschool has set precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our children and staff.
As our nation’s DORSCON level was raised to orange, we have increased temperature taking to 3 times a day for staff and children. We have also limited visitors entering our centres.
Travel Declaration
Visitors are required to declare their travel history, aside from taking temperature and sanitizing their hands before entering the centres.
Implement Leave of Absence
In compliance with Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), staff and children who have returned from Mainland China are required to take a Leave of Absence for 14 days upon their return to Singapore. Staff are also advised to monitor their health closely to ensure a safe environment for all the children staff in our centres.
Ensure Good Environmental Hygiene in School
Cleaning staff from all centres are tasked to ramp up their frequency in cleaning and disinfecting areas which are commonly used by our children, parents and staff to ensure a safe and clean environment for our children. Supplies such as hand soap, sanitizers, masks, tissues were also prepared for children and staff’s use when needed.
Suspend Large Group Activities
With the news of the first local outbreak, mass gathering such as assemblies, communal activities, outdoor excursions, field trips were suspended to minimise our children’s exposure to large crowd. School visits and open house events are suspended to support the national wide preparedness efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Observe High Levels of Personal Hygiene
On top of their daily hygiene routine, our children are educated on frequent handwashing. Good hygiene practices are reinforced. Sharing of food or drink, eating utensils, and towels are also not allowed.
