On 6th April, Little Footprints @ Yishun 366 embarked on a learning journey to educate children to be caring and responsible citizens towards the environment. As part of their Start Small Dream Big project, Little Footprints @ Yishun 366 kickstarted the event with activities that encourage children to “Use Less, Waste Less, Green More and Care More”.
Our Kindergarten Two children performed a rap song titled, “LFP Walking on Greens”. With the help of their class teacher, these young charges spent weeks working on the lyrics using ending consonants and rhyming words. Listen to their rap song here!
Their creativity is limitless! They too decorated a banner for “The Teaching Garden” on a recycled canvas. It’s heartening to observe our young children expressing their creativity all in one banner. After all, they have grown into unique individuals over the years with Little Footprints!
The Kindergarten One children participated in vegetable printing. The objective of this activity was for children to understand the concept of recycling vegetable waste. These vegetable ends were contributed by parents. Look at their amazing artwork!
The Nursery class repurposed water bottles into flower vases and planted orchids! We are so pleased to see parents’ active participation! From contributing materials to attending the launch party, we can’t thank parents enough for valuing the importance of parent-partnership in the early years.
